S.M.A.R.T. Goals Academy
The S.M.A.R.T. Goals Academy at Park Street Elementary provides kindergarteners through fifth grade students an in-depth academic program that incorporates the effective use of individual and personalized 21st century learning experiences with hands-on digital education content using the S.M.A.R.T. goal process. The S.M.A.R.T School approach integrates resources and opportunities to work with others in order to create a positive learning environment focused on student growth.

Marietta City Schools Provides Children Free Meals Throughout Summer Months
Marietta City Schools (MCS) participates in the Seamless Summer Option program and continues to provide free meals to children while school is out for the summer. There is no income requirement or registration. Any child under age 18 may receive a free meal at any of the five Marietta locations from June 3 – July 19. No service is available on July 4. More»
Energy Conservation – Summer Hours Marietta Schools, Facilities & Central Office
Marietta City Schools (MCS) moves to its summer schedule four-day work week beginning June 7, 2013, with most facilities closing one day per week Fridays: June 7, 14, 21, 28, and July 12, and 19. All MCS facilities and schools will close Thursday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. All MCS facilities return to a regular five-day workweek Monday, July 22, 2013. More»

The Georgia Department of Education's 2013 Summer Reading Challenge and the Find a Book" Web site can help families identify books that their student is able to read. The Find-a-Book Web site - is a fun and easy way to find books at a student's Lexile (reading) level.

2012-2013 Energy Challenge
Save-A-Watt is an energy conservation contest for Marietta City elementary and secondary schools to compete to decrease their electrical consumption and identify sustainable energy conservation methods. Marietta City Schools launched Save-A-Watt in 2009 in partnership with Marietta Power & Water and Apogee Interactive, Inc.

Board Supports GSBA Vision for Public Education in Georgia
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta supports The Georgia School Boards Association and the Georgia School Superintendents Association partnership for creating a new vision for public education in the State of Georgia.
