Kinder Camp Action, July 27-29![]() Park Street Elementary Kinder Camp students learned about writing, colors, geometrical shapes, and classroom routines while their parents received small group tours, Kindergarten orientation, and learned ways to assist their student at home. This year’s Kinder Camp curriculum theme was “Getting in Shape for Kindergarten.” Park Street AR Challenge Gets Wet and Wild, May 18 ![]() Park Street Elementary students reached their Accelerated Reader (AR) Marietta Reads! goal for the year. They recently celebrated by Getting Wet and Wild in principal Lawson’s Jungle featuring a water slide with wading pool set to a tropical jungle theme. Over 470 students (90%) achieved their AR goal. Gwen Baldwin of Keep Cobb Beautiful visited Park Street on Thursday, May 6 and presented the school with their Gold Blade signifying Green School Gold Status for the 2009-2010 school year. Park Street is one of only 22 schools receiving the Green School distinction. Principal for a Day Program, Feb. 24 ![]() Corey Lawson, principal of Park Street Elementary and Sarah-Elaine Jones from Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. recently participated in the Cobb Chamber's 9th Annual Principal for a Day Program (PFAD).
