Meet the Principal

Principal Johanne Gaddy

Johanne Gaddy brings more than a decade of elementary school leadership to Park Street, along with a deep commitment to literacy, school culture, and the belief that every child deserves to feel seen and supported.

A Long Island native, Gaddy began her career as a teacher before ultimately becoming a principal in New York. She later relocated to Georgia, joining Marietta City Schools with a deliberate first step — returning to the classroom to teach second grade at Hickory Hills Elementary, immersing herself in the district's curriculum and the Science of Reading before stepping back into leadership.

Most recently, Gaddy served as assistant principal at A.L. Burruss Elementary, where her work spanned teacher development, MTSS, ESOL, student discipline, and assessment coordination.

Gaddy is committed to building on Park Street's strong foundation and connecting with families from day one. She is especially passionate about growing confident readers and lifelong learners — and about making sure every child at Park Street knows they belong.
