Dear Park Street Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! I am incredibly grateful and honored to begin serving as principal of Park Street Elementary. From the moment I joined this amazing community, I have felt the warmth, pride, and commitment that make Park Street such a special place. I cannot wait to partner with you as we create an exceptional year for our students.

As we count down the days until school begins, our team has been busy preparing for a year filled with learning, growth, and meaningful experiences for every child. Throughout the summer, we've been cleaning, planning, organizing, and preparing our building to ensure every student feels welcomed, safe, and excited from the very first day. We can’t wait to open our doors and begin this journey together! To help you prepare for the start of the school year, here are a few important dates and reminders.

Sneak-a-Peek: Monday, August 3 | 9:00–11:00 a.m.

Join us for our annual Sneak-a-Peek! Families will have the opportunity to:

• Meet your child’s teacher.
• Visit classrooms and drop off school supplies.
• Receive transportation information.
• Turn in student medications to Nurse Nicole.
• Get help with student registration.
• Learn about enrichment clubs.
• Join our PTA.
• Receive assistance with Free & Reduced Lunch applications (a new application must be completed each school year).
• Take advantage of FREE haircuts for Park Street students (first come, first served in the gym).

First Day of School: Tuesday, August 4 | 8:00- 3:00 p.m.

This year’s theme is Park Street Strong, centered on our commitment to Strong Relationships, Strong Routines, Strong Instruction, and Strong Results. Together, we will work every day to ensure each child is known, challenged, supported, and celebrated. Our staff is excited to welcome both new and returning Panthers! I can already imagine our hallways filled with bright smiles, joyful giggles, and eager learners ready for an incredible year.

We are excited to welcome several new staff members to our Panther family! Be sure to visit our social media pages (@ParkStreetPanther on IG & https://www.facebook.com/parkstreetpanthers) over the next several days for staff introductions and to get to know the wonderful educators and team members who will be serving your children this year.

Strong Family Partnerships

We also know that a strong school is built through strong partnerships with families. Our PTA plays an important role in creating the vibrant, connected school community our students deserve. I encourage you to connect with our wonderful PTA President, Jazz Jackson, and consider getting involved. Whether you have an hour to volunteer or simply want to stay informed, your partnership truly makes a difference.

We are also fortunate to have Mrs. Elizabeth Martinez, our Parent Liaison, who is here to help families feel connected and supported throughout the school year. Elizabeth can assist with translation, registration, school uniforms, and connecting families with school and community resources.
